Adam Bernstein, Managing Partner, has been with NEC for over 10 years. His responsibilities include deal origination, evaluation, structuring, and execution. Adam has led NEC transactions in the renewable power, fuels, and waste to energy sectors. Prior to joining NEC, Adam managed valuation and project finance analysis on over 2,000 megawatts of power generation at FPL Energy (now NextEra Energy), one of the largest electricity operators in North America. His focus at FPL was structuring tax-equity transactions and portfolio syndications. Before FPL, Adam was an Associate at J.P. Morgan Securities, researching and executing equity, fixed income, and derivative transactions. Adam began his career at GE Capital Commercial Finance analyzing asset-based loans and securitizations and has also worked on Goldman Sachs commodities trading desk. Adam is a CFA Charterholder and is a graduate of Emory (BBA), the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College (MBA), and the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College (MS).
