The refurbishment and upgrade reduced plant emissions of nitrogen oxides and greenhouse gases by more than 40%, allowing Greenville Steam Company to help fill the growing demand for clean, renewable energy in the Northeast. The plant has an excellent management team and workforce, and enjoys the support of both the State of Maine and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in supplying clean power to the region.
