Trident BioFuels Energy Gas Processing Facility will process wastewater treatment digester biogas for injection into the San Diego Gas & Electric Company natural gas pipeline. The raw biogas produced as a bi-product of the wastewater treatment process is currently burned in the atmosphere, creating air pollutants that will be eliminated following completion of the project. The clean, pipeline quality biogas will replace non-renewable natural gas in the SDG&E system and create a revenue source for the City of San Diego.
