New Energy Capital Invests in Natural Systems Utilities

The New Energy Capital Cleantech Infrastructure Fund, a leading investor in clean infrastructure real assets, has invested in Natural Systems Utilities, an award-winning leader in the water and energy infrastructure industry.  Previous investors XPV Capital Corporation and ARB, a private investment firm, joined the round.

Natural Systems Utilities is a distributed infrastructure development and management company providing high value, low impact water treatment, water reuse and organic waste-to-energy solutions for communities and businesses.  NSU is a pioneer in utilizing natural ecological systems for water treatment and an industry innovator in converting organic waste to energy.  Sustainable distributed systems and environmental stewardship are at the core of the solutions that NSU creates for its customers.

“Natural Systems Utilities has been at the forefront of designing, building and operating distributed water management and energy systems that derive value from waste,” said Scott Brown, CEO of New Energy Capital Partners.  “We expect NSU to lead the water and organics reuse industry over the next decade in building sustainable infrastructure to solve critical water and energy issues in our communities.”

“New Energy Capital is a leader in clean infrastructure project finance.  We look forward to working in close partnership with NEC to expand NSU’s growing opportunities to build, own and operate wastewater treatment, water reuse, organics reclamation and energy recovery systems throughout North America” said NSU Chairman and CEO Bob Dixon.
